Early in 2020 there was even a leaked image showing the exposed Maverick tailgate, which was one of the first major hints at the appearance this pickup truck would be working with.

While the new Ford Maverick payload may not be as impressive as the F-250, it will haul a respectable amount for its minute dimensions. It’s not meant to be a heavy duty truck. The new Maverick will be a great daily driver that’s more than capable of trips to the hardware store and hauling your side-by-side out to Little Sahara for a thrilling day off. As this truck will be a smaller option than the Ford Ranger, we can imagine it’ll be slightly less capable than this truck. 

 

The tradeoff for a lower towing capacity is one that will help your wallet, as the new Maverick is likely to be a highly-efficient compact truck that will skip extra trips to the gas station.
